We all talk about the weather and oddly I quite like winter. Not really the grey days so much, but I love the crisp frosty ones. The different types of frost, and those days where the sky is bright blue but you have to wrap up warm and the world is encased in white. When landscapes alter and new forms emerge in the frozen air.
These pieces reflect just that. This is a window frost, which I think looks like feathers and one morning it kindly covered our car. It was so beautiful but a bit hard to scrape away ! The engraving creates the pattern and the enamel contributes its glassy colour. The final effect is a like silk moire cloth where the two toned surface hits the light at angles.
