Hallmarking
All my precious metal pieces are hallmarked at the London Assay office in the UK.
You can find more information about hallmarking here at the assay office.

Website Images
Colour accuracy online is determined by different screen resolutions on monitors so please consider this when looking at the work. Several images of pieces are not to scale so please refer to the dimensions in each description to work out sizing.
If you need more information about a piece please email me directly at ruthball@gmx.com or fill in the contact form.
Commissioning
If you would like to inquire about commissioning please get in touch.
I would be happy to discuss ideas and work with you to make a bespoke piece, unique to you. Typically in the initial stages I will discuss designs by email, if preferred I can also talk by phone. Once you have decided to proceed with a commission a 50% deposit is required. On completion of the work the piece will be photographed and an image sent to you for approval, then the remaining 50% is due before I post the piece out to you.
Order times – Re: Commissions
For commissioned work the lead time is an average of 8 weeks. There will be variations in this. Larger or complex commissions will take much longer.
Throughout a commission I will email you at each stage, as appropriate, to verify the design and discuss the options to ensure that you are completely happy with progress.
Payment terms
Payment is through the transaction service of this shopify website.

Care
Care instructions will be given on the purchase of each individual piece.
If treated appropriately your piece will last forever. However it is important to note that ongoing care is required to keep your piece in the best possible condition.
Silver naturally tarnishes and will need wiping occasionally with a silver cloth. If it becomes heavily tarnished it will need re cleaning by a specialist.
Gold plated and oxidised surfaces can wear over time and will need re finishing at some point by an expert in this area.
Enamel is essentially glass. It is fused to the metal in the making process. Generally it is a very robust and permanent surface. However, in certain circumstances, it may need extra care and refurbishment. It can become scratched if it is left unprotected to excessive wear. It will crack if exposed to thermal shock. If it is hit with a hard object or is dropped onto a hard surface it may crack. If these instances happen it will need to be repaired by myself or an enamel specialist.
Artwork on paper and framed works are to be treated with care and not exposed to water or to anything that would rip, tear, or scratch the surface accordingly.
Cancellation
If you want to cancel an item please get in touch within 24 hours of placing the order.
